Use the English language
We understand that with all the different nationalities not everyone speaks English well, but please try. If you're really unable to post in English use an online translator, You're free to include your original message in your own language below the English translation. (This covers your posts, profile entries and signature).
Posting messages
While off-topic posting may be overlooked, the general rule is your posts / threads must be relevant to the Forum / thread in which you are posting.
You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time, it might take a while before you receive an answer.
Do not make duplicate posts in multiple forums. This will cut down on clutter, make the forums easier to navigate and the moderators jobs much easier
Do not post warez
If a piece of software requires you to pay to use it, then pay for it. We do not accept warez nor do we permit any member to request, promote or describe ways in which Warez, cracks, serial codes or other means of avoiding payment, can be obtained. This is a site of developers, i.e. the sort of people who create such software. When you cheat a software developer, you cheat us as a community
Do not spam, sell or trade on the forums
Selling, buying, trading, exchanging devices, commercial advertising, advertising referral links or pay per click links in the forum or via Private Messages are not permitted unless given administrator / moderator approval. Discussion of selling, buying, trading, exchanging devices outside of official approved means is also prohibited.
For App developers: Linking to your app in the Play Store is allowed but a free version for Planet Smartwatch forums members would be appreciated.
Donations
As a user you're allowed to ask for donations in your signature as a thank you for your hard work. However asking for donations up front are not allowed. Affiliate (pay per click) links are not allowed.
Respect copyright and the law
Don't post copyrighted materials or do other things that will obviously lead to legal trouble. Please use common sense: respect the forum, its users
Using the work of others
If you are developing something that is based on the work of another, you MUST first seek their permission, and you must give credit to the member whose work you used. If a dispute occurs about who developed / created a piece of work, first try to settle the matter by private message and NOT in open forum. If this fails then you may contact a moderator with clear evidence that the work was created by you.
Developers have the right to hold exclusivity over their work for as long as it is deemed necessary by the dev as long as it does not conflict with GPL. No selective sharing will be allowed. Should the dev decide to start sharing the work with others, the work automatically becomes “fair use” and is available for everyone to use.
If permissions are given to use another's work, unless there is a very valid reason, it cannot be revoked (same applies to any updates). Permissions cannot be denied unless the work is exclusive or under severe circumstances.
These rules apply to all work posted unless that software comes with a license that waives these rules.
All work posted under GPL is required to have links to source code. Failure to do can result in the remove of said work.
Create only one User Account
You are allowed one User Account. If you create additional accounts, moderators will disable them and your original account may also be disabled.
All of this is subject to change at any time. Any changes to this will be marked by the date in the title.
